Has anyone here incorporated a Media PC into their home theater setup?

I was just wondering if anyone here has used a Microsoft Media PC as an integral part of a home theater or distributed audio system. I feel that eventually individual components are going to go away and these type of PC’s are going to become the center piece of a good home theater, much like the iPod is now becoming a center piece for whole house distributed audio with high end control systems such as Crestron and Russound coming out with their own docking stations that allow complete control of an iPod from anywhere in the house with their keypads and touchpanels.

Windows File Loss after Repair, Reinstall or Upgrade XP

I live in AZ, home AC compressor in direct 115 d heat all day, making it run longer. How can I keep it cool?

I hear of poeple putting up screens in some way to keep sun from beating down on the compressor all day. I also have heard people setting up misters to spray on the AC unit. What have you done? My electric bill for a small house, two poeple, brand new house was $300 last month.

yes, a/c units basicly move the heat from inside your house to outside your house. you should try shading it and it would not hurt to have some water misting the coil on the outside. it is definitly pocible to make one yourself. just connect a solinoid valve up to the wires that power the condencers fan. connect it to a garden hose and run a copper pipe with small holes in it around the outside of the unit. the condencer pulls air in past the radiator coil(that surrounds most of the unit) and blows it out from the fan. wetting the coil will help take(evaporate) heat away from the coil. you can get a solinoid valve from any appliance part store. they put them in things like fridges(ice maker and water on the door) dishwashers and washing machines(turns water on and off electronicly)

a couple weeks ago i saw in target a ZUNE HOME that charges your zune while you can play it or whatever it was pretty much like an IHOME it was about a foot by a foot but NOW i cant find it anywhere! all i see is the av pack which i dont think is good at all as the one i saw but the big one isnt anywhere to be found! help!?

well the home pack is being discontinued….and i know Target doesn’t even carry zune anymore..try walmart or Bestbuy…but the older ( NON HD) home packs are going to be hard to come by in the stores, probably amazon or ebay is your best bet.
