Connecting my home theather system…HELP!!!?

Good day everyone. I am currently revamping my theater system and I am wondering how best to connect all of this together. Here is the list:
1) 50″ Panasonic plasma with 2 HDMI connectors, 1 optical, 2 component, 1 S-Video
2) Samsung BP-1600 Blue Ray player with 1 HDMI, 1 component, 1 optical, and 1 analog audio
3) Comcast cable HD/DVR box with HDMI connection, component, optical
4) Yamaha RX-V765 Receiver and speakers with a bunch of HDMI connections and everything else.

hook up comcast box to tv using hdmi cable the blu ray to the tv using hdmi cable connect the receiver to the blue player WITH AN OPTICAL CABLE NOT AN HDMI CABLE DOLBY DIGITAL SOUNDS FAR BETTER TRUST ME IM A PROJECTIONIST then the receiver to the comcast box using standard analog cables save some money on another hdmi cable and just program them to the comcast remote no dd does not support 7.1 but as far as wanting crisp clear sound go with dd in my opinion the two extra channels are useless you’d have a much better experience with 5.1 digital

Questions about satellite radio. XM or Sirius?

I am looking to buy my husband satellite radio for his car for Xmas. I have never owned it before and I know NOTHING about it. I do not want to spend more than $200. Here are the details: He has an older car, therefore the receiver part would have to plug in to the lighter. He really likes sports radio and classic rock. I would like the receiver part to be portable (not sure if thats possible) so he can plug into our home stereo. My question is, is XM the way to go or Sirius, and is this possible for $200 or less? No, this is a scam and phisicaly impossible.
firstly the light projected from the tv isnt strong enough to be spread out so big and still remain visible.

second if it were possible for an hd picture to be projected onto a wall the source has to contain the detail projected so baisicaly its impossible for a pice of glass to add detail to a pictue, it can only enlarge what is there so youd have to have an hd tv.

thirdly if it was true then they would be being sold by the shipload from huge companies worldwide.

Optical audio connection to home theater receiver?

My new Toshiba HDTV has an Optical Audio Out to carry the audio to my receiver. My older Sony home theater receiver has an Optical jack labeled “Video 2 In”. You would just need to set your receiver to the Video 2 setting in order to listen to the broadcast when you turn on your receiver. As far as surround sound, the broadcast that you’re getting from the off-air antenna needs to be broadcast in 5.1, 6.1 etc. and your receiver needs to also be capable of producing it. But overall, you should be good to go.

Of all the ones listed here I like the sanyo plv-z4 because of the nice picture and how quiet it is. The panasonic ae900 is not quite as quiet but almost and has an outstanding picture as well.
